The awards recognise the achievements of passionate young engineers, giving them a chance to shine. Two engineers from our Sydney office shone brightly, with both receiving high commendations at the Awards.

Electrical Engineer Katherine Jones received a high commendation for the CIBSE ANZ Award for Graduate of the Year 2019 and Mechanical Undergraduate Engineer Jeff Tsang, a high commendation for the Mark Griffin Award for Student of the Year 2019.

WGE are committed to recruiting the best talented graduates and providing them with training and development for them to progress into well rounded consulting engineers. It is exciting to see our staff excel and being recognised for their work.

“I am extremely honoured to have been given the opportunity of attending the CIBSE ANZ Young Engineers Awards as one of the nominees at the Melbourne Museum. A big thank you to the CIBSE for organising the awards and the recognition I received for my work. I would also like to thank WGE for all their support and training and allowing me to grow my passion in building services,” says Katherine.

“It was an honour to be invited to attend the CIBSE Awards in Melbourne last night as one of the finalists for the Student Award of the Year. I had a fantastic night connecting with many passionate young engineers and CIBSE executive members. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my mentors and WGE colleagues in supporting my nomination,” says Jeff.

WGE would like to congratulate both Katherine and Jeff on their respective awards and all the winners named at the CIBSE ANZ Young Engineers Awards.
