Gisborne Te Tairāwhiti
Welcome to Gisborne Te Tairāwhiti
Gisborne Te Tairāwhiti is the first city in the world to see the sun, and this easternmost tip of New Zealand is famous for its beautiful coastline, densely forested mountain parks, surfing, and fishing. It’s also a centre for wine and agriculture.
The region is one of NZ's fastest growing tourism areas—and the population swells over summer. With an expected increase of over 4,000 more residents by 2050, it's currently home to almost 50,000 locals who are invested in their gorgeous town—and we are too. That's why we set up shop in 2019, to support Gisborne Te Tairāwhiti with its transportation infrastructure and to ensure the community can withstand the effects of climate change and natural hazards.
We’ve contributed to a great variety of transportation and mobility jobs in “Gizzy”, from assessment and maintenance management on roads and bridges to a freight transport study, a speed management plan, and the design of a new shared path for cyclists and walkers. We're very proud to sit on the Gisborne District Council and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency Professional Services Engineering panels.
Together with our clients, we design with community in mind. That's just what we'll continue to do, even as our community grows and changes.
