Denver (Pennsylvania St), Colorado

Welcome to Denver

Located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, this ‘Mile-High City’ is one of the most desired places to live in the United States. Denver not only offers gorgeous, picturesque mountain scenery where the sun shines 300 days a year, it also radiates with lively culture, diversity, rich history, entertainment venues, and sports stadiums.

The Denver mitigation paleontology team supports projects across the United States, outside of California. Our past performance digs into the rich history of life preserved in the rock record, from excavating mammoth bones and teeth at Chimney Hollow Reservoir, to documenting 110-million-year-old dinosaur, crocodile, and turtle tracks with drones and photogrammetry, to inventorying Jurassic dinosaur fossils in Bears Ears National Monument.

Our office lead, Dr. Paul C. Murphey, has more than 30 years of experience in paleontological resource management and scientific research. He led the effort to develop best practices in mitigation paleontology in the United States, which resulted in two publications, and he is soon to publish an international version.

We continually deliver comprehensive support to our community by reaching their goals and ensuring compliance to protect and preserve the non-renewable paleontological resources beneath our home.
