Claudio is a forest engineer with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chile and a master’s degree in Engineering and Environmental Management from the Institut Supérieur d'Ingénierie et Gestion de l'Environnement (Paris, France). He has over 20 years of experience in environmental impact assessment, environmental audits of infrastructure projects, energy and civil works, and natural resource and forestry management.
At Stantec, Claudio works with mining and electricity generation companies to provide relevance consultations, complete environmental impact studies and declarations, baseline studies, and social-environmental audits, and obtain environmental permits. He’s especially passionate about—and experienced in—sustainable business and corporate management with an emphasis on environmental matters, and climate change prevention.
Although technical skills are a must, Claudio strongly believes that excellent social and communication skills are key to success on projects.
