Richard joined our team as a project designer after earning his engineering degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2013. As an information and communications technology designer, his role consists of design, coordination and implementation of the infrastructure for technology systems in buildings. In 2018, Richard received his masters of engineering in sustainable smart cites with a focus on implementation and deployment methods of ICT in smart cites. He also recently shared his perspective on how smart tech is transforming commercial buildings in the February 2019 issue of Building Design + Construction.
Richard is a key team member on projects including commercial, healthcare, and cultural and education facilities. A passionate communicator, he’s known for his drive to push the envelope for what is possible, and this quality is evident in the work he does. Richard particularly enjoyed working for the Seattle Children’s Hospital—it was meaningful to him that the work he was doing will have an impact on the lives of families through tough times.
With his family, Richard enjoys heading to the lake, going on walks and watching the Seahawks.
