With over 25 years of practical engineering experience with a focus on renewable energy, James provides his clients a grounded engineering perspective and a rigorous and detailed approach to every project.
His background includes numerous challenging projects addressing energy use that set a new standard for efficiency and financial returns. His passion for sustainable applications covers a wide range of technologies including waste heat recovery, solar thermal, photovoltaics, biomass, geo-exchange, and sustainable building design. A specialist in solar, geo-exchange, and energy storage, James has contributed to the International Energy Agency and Canadian standards. James’ current passion focuses on electrification of heating, intelligent energy management, and energy storage. The next wave of decarbonization will require electrification that harnesses EV charge networks and battery storage, to shift away from fossil fuels while enhancing our existing grid infrastructure.
In his free time, James enjoys hiking and sports. He especially enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a strategic sport that aligns with James’ passion to maximize impact from energy inputs.
