Are you afraid of heights? Matt isn’t! By applying mountain climbing and rope access techniques on bridge inspections, Matt makes inaccessible inspections accessible. Certain bridges have elements that are nearly impossible to access using conventional methods, but by utilizing rope access methods, Matt can inspect almost any structure at arms-length. And Matt is a double threat: both experienced bridge inspector and certified rope access technician. “It’s not often that you get to hang from a rope while inspecting a bridge that’s considered a national monument, and just downstream of the iconic Hoover Dam,” Matt says of his inspection on the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge Inspection project.
When Matt’s not “hanging around”, he practices his golf swing at the Murray Golf Course. He likes to mix it up in the summer by combining his two loves, golf and camping.
