Martin has spent much of his professional career working internationally. He has over 30 years of experience as a registered architect in the UK, and he specializes in hospital design, having completed facilities in Canada, the UK, the US, Hong Kong, and Poland. He’s worked on projects from acute and tertiary hospitals to primary and secondary facilities, mental health units, senior living, and continuing care homes. Most of all, he enjoys the front end of projects—master planning and solving complex problems and concepts.
When he was in the UK, Martin was a design review panel member for the UK Department of Health. He’s also lectured on Healthcare design at Harvard University and has written several articles for magazines on healthcare design. Currently, he works on business development, health planning, designing, and project delivery, including alternate project delivery methods such as public/private partnerships and private finance initiatives.
When he isn’t at work, Martin travels as much as he can, especially to anywhere with outstanding natural beauty. He loves mountains and shorelines both, but he has always loved Greece and the cities around the Mediterranean Sea.
