Fire doesn’t discriminate, it can spark anywhere, which is why Tom has designed fire suppression, detection and alarm systems for an incredible variety of settings. Fire is also an opportunist, so Tom applies his more than 20 years’ experience to creating fire systems that meet and exceed a client’s needs.
Having designed systems for a range of project types including commercial office, residential, visitor attraction, laboratory, educational, airport, nuclear, and industrial facilities, he takes pride in understanding not only the technical makeup of the structure, but also the processes and operations occurring within. A project he is especially proud of is his designs for several new liquefied natural gas facilities located throughout the US Gulf Coast region, where he was responsible for the design, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) permitting of the facilities fire protection/process safety systems.
While some like to say they spend their days ‘putting out fires,’ Tom can rightly say he stops them before they start. When he’s not working, he enjoys golf, tennis and teaching and coaching his kids in sports.
