Since joining the acoustics field in 2020, Matt has been involved in a variety of projects, ranging from small commercial and residential developments to larger infrastructure, energy, and land development schemes.
Matt has a highly practical background from working in acoustic building compliance. He has conducted noise and vibration surveys and analyzed the data obtained to inform noise impact assessments and write technical reports. Using industry standard software SoundPLAN, he can produce specialized noise models and create noise contour maps to inform clients of the acoustic outputs within their projects.
Matt graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University, now Leeds Beckett, with a degree in music technology in 2012. Currently, he is working toward a postgraduate diploma in acoustics and noise control through the Institute of Acoustics where he is a technician member.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys attending live music events, cooking, gardening, camping. and maintaining classic cars.
