Leading our South Island Transportation group involves technical coordination, client relationship management, and strategic planning. That’s where Andrew excels. As an experienced, people-focused leader, he keeps the group aligned with client needs while giving our teams the opportunity to grow and thrive.
Andrew brings a broad range of civil and structural engineering experience to his role—spanning design, advisory, operations, delivery, and contract management. With over 30 years in the industry, he’s worked in consulting, contracting, and local government. Andrew’s invaluable knowledge guides our South Island team to deliver quality transportation services to our clients, whether focused on improving road user safety or long-term climate resilience. Looking back on his career so far, he’s proud of his Waka Kotahi system manager role following the Marlborough Sounds storm event in 2021, where he led and coordinated the state highway and local road emergency response and recovery.
On his days off, Andrew likes to keep active by running, swimming, tramping, or playing squash.
