Based in Vancouver, Soo is a design technology manager within our Digital Technology & Innovation team. There, she provides her expertise in building information modeling (BIM) and computational design to optimize design and delivery workflows and investigates emerging technologies.
With a focus on design automation as an entry to further computational design, Soo works with clients to assess their projects, people, and data to determine if automation is the right choice and then lays out the steps needed for success. She works with all sectors, including buildings, water, infrastructure, environmental services, and energy and resources. The ‘Stream Restoration CAD Tool’ is one of the tools she has developed with our Environmental Services group that optimizes the design process of streams—saving a significant amount of time and money. It not only automates design process but also generates design options that allow engineers to bring better, faster, and smarter design.
Soo loves travelling and enjoys playing and learning sports like volleyball, climbing, tennis, and swimming.
