James is a transportation engineer with over 20 years of experience in the United Kingdom and abroad. He brings a portfolio of work covering many aspects of transportation planning and design. Projects James has worked on include road and street design, intersection and roundabout improvements, bus priority, road safety, and local neighborhood schemes.
James is especially experienced in active travel, and in recent years he has primarily worked on cycle and pedestrian improvement projects. This work has involved the development and design of cycle infrastructure which is guided by the best international principles to design. His projects have also seen the development of local traffic management and placemaking interventions which have been geared towards changing the hierarchy of local streets and creating accessible and inclusive neighborhoods.
James does not have any spare time due to being the father of two young boys. He does, however, like to sneak in the odd premier league match when there is a calm point in the storm.
