As our global practice leader for industrial water, Ken works to increase our market reach—he optimizes methods and develops technical tools to position Stantec to meet new industry challenges.
Starting in 1982, Ken has spent his entire career in industrial water. He’s worked in heavy industries, including oil and gas production and refining, chemical, mining, power, to aerospace, pulp and paper, high tech, and pharmaceutical. Ken has also done non-manufacturing work, for example, he helped Amazon with cooling water for their data centers. This diverse background allows him to approach things creatively, seeing how one skill or tool could be effective on a project where it wouldn’t typically be used.
Ken’s love of water extends beyond his work—he’s been a surfer since he was 14. When he’s not enjoying an early morning catching waves as dawn breaks and dolphins swim by, you’ll find him making holograms and collecting ancient coins—some as old as 6th Century BC.
