Assaad is a data scientist helping grow the Insight module of our Stantec.io Connect platform. By sourcing, analyzing, and modeling engineering data, his primary objective is to create high-accuracy machine learning (ML) frameworks based on our engineering know-how.
The advantage of being a data scientist with an engineering degree and an environmental science doctorate is that Assaad brings deep knowledge of the technical aspects of our projects. This provides value to clients who are interested in how Insight can grow their business as well as those who want to engage with said technical aspects. Whether predicting imminent disasters or making community services more efficient, Assaad loves knowing the work he does will change communities for the better.
Outside of work, Assaad loves soccer, hiking, weightlifting, and stargazing. The beach is where he goes to decompress, and he hopes to go on a two-week backpacking trip through New Zealand or Tasmania.
