Based in Nelson, New Zealand, James is one of our regional program delivery and transportation team leads. Managing across Te Tau Ihu o Te Waka-a-Māui (Top of the South Island), he’s focused on the development of transportation safety programs and project delivery management.
Currently, James is responsible for client assurance for the Marlborough Roads Recovery Team (MRRT) responding to the July 2021 and subsequent August 2022 storm events—an $85 million project that covers 460 kilometres of flood damage. He’s also leading our local Stantec team to support clients with the successful delivery of Waka Kotahi Streets for People projects. James really enjoys working with clients to create safer, more sustainable communities and is known as a trusted advisor to our key clients in the strategy and leadership space.
James is passionate about most things outdoors, vintage lever espresso machines and good espresso, and hanging out with his wife and kids. He also enjoys mountain biking, tramping, kayaking, and hanging out at the beach.
