Dusko Nikolic

Discipline Lead - MEICA

Photo of Dusko

Over the last 20 years, Dusko has worked in Botswana, New Zealand, Singapore, Qatar, and most recently, Bahrain. He’s a chartered mechanical engineer with two decades of multidisciplinary experience in water, wastewater, building services, and the mining industry. As a project manager and designer, Dusko has worked on pumping stations, water and wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), hospitals, museums, airports, and commercial, educational, and residential buildings.

A strong collaborator with stakeholders around the world, Dusko has worked with diverse cultures and under diverse standards. In New Zealand, he worked as lead HVAC engineer on the award-winning Auckland Art Gallery, and as commissioning manager for mechanical services, he completed the Doha North WWTP in Qatar—at the time, the biggest greenfield WWTP in the Middle East.

Dusko was always fascinated by the vastness of the ocean and the diversity of marine life. So, he became a scuba diver—and certified Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) rescue diver. He’s deeply passionate about the ocean’s wellbeing, and his work in wastewater treatment is his way of contributing. Never tired of challenges, Dusko is also pursuing his master diver certification.
