Maria is a mechanical engineer with more than 14 years of professional experience in the refinery, petrochemical, and power industries. She has a solid background in designing pipelines, piping systems, and mechanical equipment, and she provides support in all phases of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects.
Since the beginning of her professional career, Maria’s personal and technical skills have successfully contributed to the development of multinational engineering projects, where she’s gained the ability to adapt to different clients’ cultures and requirements. One of her first assignments was to serve as a piping engineer on a multidisciplinary team, assisting in the design of a new gasoline hydrodesulphurization unit—the first of its kind in the United States for Corpus Christi Refinery (CCR) property of CITGO Petroleum Corporation.
Outside of work, Maria enjoys traveling and has Dubai on her bucket list. She also travels with and volunteers for her friend’s organization, Surgery without Borders, which helps communities with food and critical surgery coordination.
