Allison, as a senior interior designer, shapes user experiences through concept-driven design, space planning, sustainability, graphics, and material selection. Beyond her project work, she mentors and leads our interior designers in Austin and San Antonio, supporting a culture of design excellence. She specializes in education design, particularly K–12, and channels the curiosity of her inner child to design spaces to be fun, functional, and stimulating.
Recently, makerspaces have emerged as a common request from education clients, so—in an effort to better define the buzzword—Allison and our Research & Benchmarking group toured makerspaces throughout the US. They identified four major categories to help guide clients towards the most appropriate style for their needs. Afterward, Allison co-presented on the topic at the A4LE Southern Conference and NeoCon.
For Allison, it’s incredibly rewarding knowing that she’s positively influencing future generations by creating spaces for them to learn and flourish. Outside of work, she’s regularly involved with her church’s kids’ ministry and community outreach. You might also find her enjoying live music around Austin with her husband and friends.
