Specializing in transit-oriented development and comprehensive planning, Ismael is living his dream of nurturing Texas growth. He supports our community development efforts across the state with his zoning and permitting expertise. Having served with several city planning departments including San Antonio, El Paso, Seguin, Converse, and Cibolo, he knows how to optimize and implement plans.
Growing up in the small community of Canutillo, Texas—10 miles north of the Mexico border—Ismael always wanted to continue his family’s tradition of fostering local growth and collaboration. In working on projects that benefit the community, he works with our team to provide research and conducts analysis of national standards, community needs, and local resources to help create planning recommendations.
Whether it’s supporting community development or planning for his family’s future, Ismael is motivated by improving life for his wife and son. He enjoys spending weekends with them, reading books together at home or watching his son play in little league games.
