Peter N. Seidle

Senior Coastal Engineer

Photo of Peter N.

With over two decades of coastal engineering experience, Peter has technical expertise in assessing shoreline and volumetric survey data for multiple shoreline projects—beach nourishment, groin, breakwater, and jetty—and inlet projects—sediment budget, sand bypassing, and navigation maintenance dredging. The problem solving process drives his passion and excitement for coastal projects. Each one is unique and even more interesting when combined with upland development.

Peter has worked with a variety of clients, both domestically and internationally, and understands state and federal permitting regulations and processes. He views each client as a colleague and project partner. Building a relationship with mutual understanding and respect is important to him because it usually translates to being open to ideas and more organic discussions around project needs and desired outcomes.

Not only is Peter passionate about incorporating living shorelines or seawall habitats into coastal projects, but he also believes that any day spent on a bicycle, in a kayak or sailboat, or at a workshop crafting a wood project is a good day.
