Marcus is a senior wetland scientist with more than 12 years of experience. He specializes in state and federal environmental permitting, wetland delineations, and stream assessments. He works with threatened and endangered species, completing watershed studies, mitigation plans, ecological restoration, NEPA compliance, and data analysis.
Through every project, he helps clients understand environmental regulations and the importance of preserving and protecting our watersheds.
Marcus’ passion for the environment was fueled by first-hand experience. In the beginning of his career, he helped develop a stream mitigation bank on land owned by a monastery. Between surveying streams, conducting amphibian surveys and exploring the property, Marcus used his technical expertise to predict potential stream and wetland impacts, which led him to see the critical role mitigation plays in regulating and preserving the environment.
In his free time, he enjoys exploring the Lowcountry by kayak or bike, usually with his dog Bailey by his side.
