As our market sector leader for transportation advisory, Grant is responsible for growing our business in New Zealand and coordinating work done in the sector. With over 47 years of experience in the field, he’s a trusted advisor to clients and a mentor to his team.
Grant has managed transport planning studies in almost every city in New Zealand, and in many of the cities in New South Wales in Australia and in Malaysia. Most of the studies have involved analysis of land use patterns, as well as the transport systems required to service them. His fields of expertise are in transport planning, transport modeling, economic analyses, and as expert witness in the Environment Court.
Outside of work, you’ll often find Grant working on TRACKS—a suite of transportation planning software that is in use in New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia and South Africa. He also has a small farm that keeps him busy, grandchildren in Australia and New Zealand that he loves to visit, and a holiday home in Akaroa (that he doesn’t get to nearly as often as he’d like!)
