Tom has over 40 years of experience in the design and project management of a wide range of infrastructure, commercial, industrial, and power related projects. Specializing in electrical design, Tom has experience in renewable energy, battery energy storage, microgrids, electric vehicle charging, distribution, supporting utilities and systems, and more. He’s also developed electrical safety and awareness programs.
His projects have ranged from specific studies and small electrical upgrades to the project management of complex multidisciplinary facilities or infrastructure projects. Tom has direct hands-on construction management experience partnering with clients in the manufacturing, automotive, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and utility market sectors. Through his extensive onsite experience, he provides value engineering solutions across a wide range of market sectors for his clients.
In addition to project management and design responsibilities, Tom is an ISO 9001:2015 certified lead auditor. He has conducted more than 550 specific project audits at over 90 Stantec offices for compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and OHSAS 18001:2007 certifications. Tom has developed detailed audit protocols for the auditing of facilities and specific projects, and he has provided support for third-party audits.
