As part of our Buildings Digital Practice team, Oliver is responsible for software development and building new tools to assist engineers, designers, and architects. He is most known for his skills in C#, web development, and algorithms—solving the hard stuff, in other words.
Initially interviewing for a civil engineering position due to his degree and background, Oliver was redirected into our programming team when he started talking about his coding final year project. Examples of some of the problems he has solved include building software to solve flowrates across pipe networks, creating schematic diagrams, maze or route finding on building floorplans, and image recognition or machine learning. One of Oliver’s notable projects is developing an internal web platform intended to assist with conceptual and schematic design.
Oliver’s hobbies outside of work include gaming, annoying his neighbours with the sound of drums, guitar, and more as he tries to record music, and reading LessWrong.com.
