Beiha's an environmental scientist and mine rehabilitation and closure specialist in our environment and geoscience team. Her experience in four states across Australia and previous roles in government, consulting, and the mining industry sets her apart—having been on both sides of the fence, so to speak, she has a holistic understanding of challenges faced in the mine rehabilitation and closure space.
If you ask Beiha, she’ll say the best thing about her job is having opportunities to work on a diverse range of projects in interesting and unique environments in Australia. A stand-out project for Beiha was undertaking rehabilitation monitoring for a client in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Given the complexity of the site, working on this project was a great opportunity to work with other team members and with the client.
Outside of work? Her husband Ian, daughter, and two dogs—Samson and Serendipity—are good company and are helping her rediscover her hometown of Adelaide. Japanese writer Haruki Murakami is one of her favorite authors and she enjoys bushwalking and creating abstract art in her spare time.
