Helping a community to create an exciting new junior secondary campus
We love school, and we love schools. What other projects have so much impact in a community? So, we relish the opportunity to work with educators, parents and communities to design and build the best possible schools. After all, this is where our future engineers, architects, and designers will come from.
Recently, we partnered with the Victorian School Building Authority, JLL, Kennedy Nolan and SJ Higgins to design and deliver a junior secondary campus for Bass Coast residents in San Remo. We provided civil, design and construction engineering services including planning, design and delivery of roadworks, stormwater management, and authority utility services works required for the school
The new junior campus was opened in 2022 and the campus will be able to accommodate 500 students. Some of the specialized facilities developed in the build include a Welcome and Wellbeing Centre, a specialised building for Science, Technology and Design and, a building that houses a competition-grade gym and spaces for food preparation teaching, music and performing arts. The campus also includes a football oval and outdoor sports courts.
While Plato may have taught perfectly well under an olive tree, imagine what he could have done in a classroom with interactive screens and a library connected to the entire world.
