15 tonnes per hour of additional processing

When McCain Foods (Canada) invested $70 million into the modernization of their flagship Florenceville, New Brunswick, French fry plant, we worked closely with their team on the project. Our job? Consulting design for the mechanical services and systems including building mechanical, fire protection, and cooking oil storage/distribution as well as on-site project management services.

The existing two-line operation had been transitioned to a one-line option beforehand to make way for a new, precedent-setting 15-tonne-per-hour process line adjacent to the existing facility. Besides the design consulting, we also prepared 3D general arrangements to design and coordinate the civil, mechanical, and electrical services located above the walk-on ceiling. With this modeling, we were able to help avoid interferences during construction and to create a resource for future training.

Now complete, the modernization of the Florenceville plant meant a more efficient process line with lower maintenance and higher reliability.
