Helping to secure efficient and effective practices at a local tank depot in Moerdijk
Stolt Tank Containers asked us to support them by setting up a management system for their operation. The goal? To develop a new depot as well as a cleaning and repairing facility for tanks at their site location in Moerdijk, Netherlands.
We were challenged to meet all ISO 9001 requirements and SQAS guidelines—which, in this case, are the specific safety and assessment requirements prepared by larger industrial companies. Our team also had to obtain certification for the systems so that they had the necessary licenses to operate.
To accomplish this, we examined various risk assessments and other documents to create an overview of the significant issues at hand and to map the legal requirements that needed to be addressed. The information was then coupled with an analysis of the process equipment and mode of operation that would be used when drawing up the management system itself, resulting in an efficient and effective system that could be put into place without unnecessary elements.
Based on external audits, the system appears to provide more than enough foundation to carry out Stolt’s activities in a safe and responsible way, all the while maintaining optimal quality.
