This two-phase, rapidly-deployed project improved the water capacity for Lee County.

With the winter tourist season approaching, Lee County, Florida, turned to us for a fast-track solution to increase needed raw water capacity. To go as quickly as possible, we worked closely with Lee County and regulatory agencies to submit plans and permit applications early on in the process.

Coordinating the submittal of permit applications and notifications to closely match the needs of the reviewing agency, rather than waiting until design was complete and sending all agencies the same level of detail, cut weeks or months from the overall schedule.

The result? We were able to very efficiently prepare design plans, specifications, permits, opinions of probable cost and provide property acquisition assistance. Plus, we coordinated the sub consultants and construction phase services in just a matter of weeks. The project contained more than 28,000 linear feet of 8-inch to 24-inch raw water main, eleven (125HP) wells, and a fiber optic SCADA system. All improvements were implemented while keeping the existing plant in operation.

Through excellent communication, rapid staff deployment, frequent quality control reviews, and a high level of responsiveness by the client and our team, we helped the Lee County improve their water infrastructure in record time.
