Northeast Metropolitan BMX Facility

When the community of Travis County wanted to develop a bicycle motocross facility, our Action Sport Team stepped in and worked with the county to develop one of the most sophisticated BMX race track facilities in the U.S. Although a community level facility, it was selected to host the annual Lonestar Nationals upon completion and is one of the few in the nation that meet new Union Cycliste Internationale specifications in addition to USA BMX requirements.

The overall track layout is unique due to its split lanes for professional riders and amateurs. Internal and external track landscaping was included to add aesthetic appeal to the 2-acre site, which is complete with a raised VIP area and plenty of spectator seating for the fans and families, as well as a pedestrian fitness walk with ample parking, restrooms, and concessions. The 5-meter start-hill propels riders down the first 30-foot wide straight-away to the first asphalt turn, and the track has three turns and runs 1000 feet in all.

Thanks to our Action Sport Team, there is now a thriving community of riders and BMX enthusiasts who attend weekly races and practice sessions, as well as welcoming new riders and the annual Lonestar Nationals competition.
