Providing technical support for a complete site remediation as part of the Illinois Remediation Project
Stantec is providing technical support for a rail transportation client in their efforts to complete site remediation as part of the Illinois Remediation Project. We have provided numerous ongoing services at this site including cone penetrometer and laser induced fluorescence, subsurface investigations, pore fluid saturation sampling, sewer investigation services, preparation of lifecycle costs, MPE systems modifications, and OM&M performance for the project site.
This has been an ongoing project since the 1980s, working towards finding cost effective and efficient solutions to enhance the recovery of free product (pulling oil out of the ground) by using a multiphase extraction system. By performing environmental site remediation services, we help protect the environment both on and surrounding the rail site, as well as the water quality of local communities.
