Our team designed this Renaissance Hotel to bridge comfort with sophistication in Shanghai
When Marriott first conceived the Renaissance Shanghai Putuo in China, they imagined a hotel where quality service and detailed design would define the guest experience. The goal was to create a destination that appeals to guests travelling for business or pleasure while offering the atmosphere and amenities that one would come to expect from the Renaissance brand.
Our team emphasized a welcoming environment from entry to exit. By incorporating warm lighting, high ceilings, and thoughtful cultural detailing, the space exudes a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is designed to celebrate the marriage between the East and West, illustrated through color, rich woods, fabrics and textures, curving forms, and sophisticated accents. The design recreates the traditional experience of entering a Chinese palace, adding cultural context and a Zen-like ambience.
The Renaissance consists of 353 standard rooms, 13 suites, and 15 meeting spaces. Hotel guests can relax in the state-of the-art pool area or exercise in the high-performance fitness facility. With four distinct dining options, the Renaissance offers a delectable section of in-house cuisine.
