Creating a community hub for getting active

In Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, a new skate park is joining the community. We designed the park to cater to all skill levels and ages with varying elements, mimicking popular street skating features found within Wauwatosa. The plaza area includes seating, shade structures, donor paving, entry signage, donor plaques, donor tiles, rails, grind ledges, stair banks, transitions, and other amenities that encourage spectators and skaters to interact safely. With this much diversity, skaters from all backgrounds can enjoy the entire park.

The design also incorporates a flow bowl to help skaters develop their skills and give them a bit of variety that’ll make the skate park a popular destination. Utilizing a green design, the park creates a net zero environmental stormwater impact from the adjacent wetland, which will enhance the surrounding community walking trails.

Our team provided civil engineering, planning, 3D rendering, cost estimating, construction documents, construction administration, and grand opening assistance.
