With over 17 years of experience working on a wide variety of infrastructure projects, David specialises in providing flood risk consultancy services and drainage design. He has a particular interest in integrating landscape and civil design for multifunctional blue-green infrastructure.
As well as extensive civil engineering design experience in the United Kingdom, David has worked internationally, notably in South Asia. He has led multidisciplinary teams in the design of schools and water supply projects for remote villages. He has also supported disaster risk reduction projects to help vulnerable communities.
David loves working at the intersection between civil engineering and landscape design to inspire the next generation of multifunctional solutions for SuDS, or sustainable urban drainage systems. He believes in fostering a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to help shift the current paradigm and consider decentralised water and wastewater systems alongside traditional centralised interventions.
