Bernard leads our Manchester office and promotes clients' sites through the planning process. He has a strong track record of achieving allocations and planning permissions, and he acts for many national and local house builders, land development companies, landowners/investors, and a diverse range of commercial interests. He also advises numerous public sector clients, which includes developing regeneration strategies and implementation plans, providing planning policy advice, and undertaking a wide range of evidence-based studies. Some of his work has also included developing various site assessment “toolkits” and sites databases.
Having led housing and mixed-use schemes across North England and beyond, Bernard has consulted on many of the region’s largest schemes, including the first phase of Halsnead West Garden Village in Knowsley and Thorpe Park in Leeds, a substantial development including offices, retail, hotels, and commercial leisure uses.
Outside of work, Bernard enjoys playing snooker and pool, running, and spending quality time with his family.
