Future-focused infrastructure, amenities, and greener construction features make SEGRO V-Park Leigh Road a standout location for start-ups
With a 100-year history that includes origins as a military repair depot, the home for Mars brand confections, a fabrication shop for the legendary Ford GT racing cars, and studios for Gerry Anderson’s “Supermarionation” tv programs, the slough trading estate, now operated by SEGRO, is expanding opportunities to attract innovative businesses. Located on a regenerated brownfield site at the centre of the trading estate, we provided civil engineering services related to transport, air quality, and noise to help SEGRO develop the next phase in the evolution of the estate.
SEGRO V-Park Leigh Road provides over 117,000 square feet of high-quality workshop and studio space. The building features meeting rooms, co-working areas, as well as a wide range of amenities including a café, and changing-room facilities. The structure will feature a green roof, solar panels, rainwater harvesting, green living walls, and the trading estate’s first micro forest. Plus, more than 10 per cent of car parking spaces have electric vehicle charging.
SEGRO V-Park Leigh Road is expected to attract an anticipated 50 – 70 small to medium-sized enterprises, who will create approximately 400 jobs for the local economy.
