A message to clients from Stantec Country Leader, Australia, José Granado

April 28, 2020

By José Granado

José Granado outlines the pro-active measures our Australian business has taken to combat the COVID-19 pandemic

We believe in working together for safety—at work, at home, and in our communities. Our culture encourages each of us to make safe choices for ourselves and our colleagues which is why we’ve taken some pro-active precautionary measures to combat the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Our Pandemic Response Plan protects the health of our people, continues to provide for essential activities, and minimises the disruption to clients, colleagues and services. You can rest assured that our Plan supports our clients’ needs and ensures that we continue to deliver the great work you’ve come to know us for. It includes:

  • Remote working – working from home is part of our culture and our teams remain connected to our clients remotely, and our IT infrastructure is being expanded to permit any outstanding remote desktop access to our remaining staff using home networks.
  • Security – our remote working capabilities provide our people with a highly secure connection to clients and project work with minimal loss in productivity.
  • Technical capability – our network is designed to provide for business risks, business-continuity management risks, and emergency response planning.

What does this mean for your project? We’re set-up to work remotely, and we’ll continue to monitor the situation and be in touch if there’s anything you need to know.

Internally, we’ve established a regional Crisis Management Team and Local Response Team who regularly meet to review our approach. Our precautionary efforts include regular employee communications, adaptable working from home options, travel restrictions, certain quarantine requirements, office safety and sanitation protocols, exposure restrictions around group gatherings, as well as safety guidance where relevant.

We know that communities are fundamental, especially in these unprecedented times which is why we’re committed to your ongoing success. If you’ve got any further questions about working together for safety, then please reach out to your local Stantec contact.

Be safe. Be smart. Be kind.
